What Is NCM GOVPAGES?

NCM GOVPAGES (Canadian Edition) is a bilingual hardcopy and online directory of over 50,000 businesses that are currently selling or are very interested in supplying products and services into government. Each company record is verified and updated before it is permitted inclusion into the directory. NCM guarantees to these recipients a level of accuracy which is unmatched in the industry.

GOVPAGES hardcopy directory is freely distributed to over 15,000 senior government officials within the Federal, Provincial and Municipal governments. Further additional copies of GOVPAGES will be offered at a nominal fee for increased distribution. Each listing includes company name, address, phone number, employee size, language preference and aboriginal identifier.

GOVPAGES online directory provides all users with a choice of simple or advanced search capabilities to easily find suppliers of products and services using detailed GSIN categories (not available in the hardcopy edition). Registered government users are given confidential access to at least one government sales point of contact, ownership type, sales regions, detailed category listings and current standing offers and agreements (currently being researched).

All registered suppliers, who have been verified, are guaranteed a basic listing within GOVPAGES. To enhance their listings, companies have several advertising options to maximize their exposure within all levels of government.

How NCM GOVPAGES works?

For ease of use GOVPAGES has listed businesses using the government’s own familiar GSIN product and services classification structure. NCM has further enhanced this structure by grouping the original 16,000 detailed plus categories into a more manageable quantity for easy cross-referencing. Under each category, companies are indexed in order by province, city and then company name. This indexing structure allows for governments to easily source locally supplied products and services. GOVPAGES also provides an alphabetical index listing of all grouped GSIN headings and page locations. This alphabetical index will provide for easy referencing by product or service name.

NCM GOVPAGES has been designed using direct input from various types of government users. GOVPAGES acts as an excellent sole sourcing resource tool for government employees to make direct purchases under a certain dollar amount. Using government sole sourcing guidelines, each product and service classification has a minimum of three vendors listed.

As an added valuable service to government, NCM is researching and highlighting companies who have current standing offers and agreements. Government buyers will benefit by being able to consult with other agencies and departments to negotiate similar agreements with vendors.
